Japan / Australia - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (Fuso) - a majority 89.29%-owned truck and bus manufacturing subsidiary of Germany’s Stuttgart-based Daimler AG, which has its headquarters in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan – used the Brisbane Truck Show in Australia in May to launch Shogun, the latest version of its heavy-duty flagship truck.

Shogun was the name for all-powerful military leaders, as appointed by the emperor, who ruled pre-modern Japan for centuries. The new Fuso Shogun, which became available for sale at Fuso dealers across Australia from June 1 is being introduced with advanced safety technologies and efficient Euro VI engines from Mercedes-Benz.  It is fitted with the latest version of the Mercedes-Benz OM470 11-litre common rail engine matched with the Fuso 12-speed ShiftPilot automated manual transmission (AMT).
