Spain - Irizar e-mobility announced at this year's UITP Summit in Stockholm it now has an expanded line-up of zero-emission buses. New models included the new 12m ie tram/bus for BRT operations - which is similar to its ie bus but with a more rounded front, separate driver’s area and single access door forward of the wheels - and an 18m articulated full electric city bus, the 18m ie bus, which follows on from the 18m ie tram design first introduced at Busworld in 2017 and, which is available as a full low floor and a low entry version.

Héctor Olabe, director, responsible for Irizar e-mobility said that with these two new products, its electric public service vehicle range was almost complete; tram style and city bus full electric versions are now available at 10.8m, 12m and 18m. Under development, he stated, but already in its product catalogue, is the low floor and / or low entry 15m full electric unit for those current markets favouring diesel versions in this length such as central Europe, the Nordic countries and some parts of Italy and Spain. This model will be ready for market introduction in 2021, if not before, stated Olabe.
