California schools encouraged to order Blue Bird Electrics through CEC Grant Funds

USA - The California Energy Commission has announced qualifying buses passing its Technical Evaluation phase, can now be ordered through the Clean Transportation Programme’s Grant, GFO-18-604. School Districts in California are now eligible for hundreds of thousands of dollars in grant funding towards Blue Bird’s Type A Electric Micro Bird, Type C Vision Electric and Type D All American Rear Engine Electric school buses.
Total funding of USD75m is available for electric vehicles and a further USD13m for EV infrastructure, while CNG buses get USD3.7m and a further USD2.4m for CNG infrastructure.
