Laser-based lighting research project successfully completed says Hella

Germany - Hella GmbH & Co. KgaA (Hella) of Lippstadt, specialist in automotive lighting and electronics, and the Fraunhofer Application Centre for Inorganic Phosphors in Soest, are co-developing a prototype lighting system for the future, based on laser technology.

The so called HipE research project (an abbreviation for highly innovative pixelated phosphors for laser-based emissions in headlamps) was funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) over a period of three years, and which, according to Hella, was successfully completed in February this year.
