USA - ROI (Road Optimized Intelligence) Cabmate, a new, intelligent, semi-active cab suspension claimed to positively impact safety, operator comfort, asset protection and driver retention has been developed by Link Manufacturing Ltd of The Sioux Centre, Iowa.

The initial Cabmate suspension, introduced in 1980 for Class 7 and Class 8 cabs has sold over 2 million units. The new development features computer control of multiple sensors which constantly assess the cab’s relative position and responds simultaneously. An accelerometer monitors the motion of the cab, while a position sensor measures the position and velocity of the cab relative to the frame.
