Indonesia – Joko Widodo, president of Indonesia has announced he plans to increase crude palm oil (CPO) content in diesel used by vehicles in the country to 30% (B30) at the beginning of next year, up from the current 20% (B20).

The president also indicated he planned to increase diesel CPO content further to 50% (B50) by the end of 2020, in a move designed to support the local CPO industry which has been struggling with low prices in recent years. CPO has come under fire in the last few years in overseas markets such as the EU due to its environmental impact.
