Japan / Indonesia - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) of Kawasaki city in Japan introduced six new variants of its medium-duty Fighter truck at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in Jakarta, Indonesia in July.

The latest range of Fighter variants comprises three axle configurations of 4x2, 6x2, 6x4, extended wheelbases between 5.0m and 7.1m and engine outputs of up to 270hp.  MFTBC says it now has a total of 15 variants of the Fighter available in the Indonesian market to help meet more closely the transportation requirements of its clients and help improve efficiency. The company pointed to strong demand in the last two years from the construction and mining sectors, driven by rising infrastructure investments and buoyant commodity prices.
