Toyota assembling new Hiace minibus in Thailand and Vietnam

Japan / Thailand / Vietnam - Toyota Motor Corporation of Toyota, Aichi Prefecture, Japan has continued to roll-out its new Hiace model by launching the sixth generation of the minibus in Thailand in June.

The Hiace is assembled by Toyota Auto Works Co Ltd (TAW) at its facility in Samut Prakan, just outside Thailand’s capital city, Bangkok. The company has invested THB2.5bn to re-tool the plant, which has a production capacity of 16,000 units a year and uses 52% locally produced parts.
