BYD reveals new coach and transit bus for North America

USA / China - Battery and electric vehicle manufacturer, BYD North America Inc of Los Angeles unveiled a new transit bus and a new coach at BusCon 2019, held last month at the Indianapolis Convention Centre, Indiana. 

The bus, designated K7M-ER (a 40-foot transit bus) and the C9M coach, were developed based on suggestions from operators in North America, BYD stated. The body width on the K7M-ER is wider at 101.6 inches, which allows placement of the wheelchair ramp at the front of the vehicle. Equipped with 20 seats it has a range of up to 185 miles and can be fully recharged in 3.5 – 4 hours.
