Germany - Daimler Buses of Stuttgart has celebrated the 25th anniversary of producing its Mercedes-Benz Tourismo coach, which also saw the handover of the 30,000th vehicle produced and delivered to Polish operator, RAF TRANS of Warsaw. Launched in 1994 the initial O 350 Tourismo is now in its third generation - which was introduced in 2017.

The anniversary touring coach was a 12.3m, high-deck variant featuring Active Brake Assist 4 (ABA 4) emergency braking system, the Electronic Stability Program (ESP), the autonomous intelligent cruise control system (ART), Sideguard Assist, Lane Assistant and Attention Assist. Travel Star Eco seats were selected along with the comfortable Luxline upholstery and two-zone climate control. The ergonomic Comfort Plus cockpit included a leather trimmed multifunction steering wheel. Power was provided by a OM70 low-emission six-cylinder inline engine with 290kW (394hp) output. Fuel consumption is aided by the aerodynamic styling which delivers a minimal drag factor co-efficient of Cd+0.33. With equipment such as the Predictive Powertrain Control (PPC) cruise control system and the Eco Driver Feedback (EDF) system which provides personalised tips for the current driving style, drivers can help further reduce both fuel consumption and emissions.
