e-troFit simplifies process for retrofitting electric drives in existing buses

Germany - e-troFit GmbH of Ingoldstadt, is to present its electrification solution for diesel buses at the Busworld Europe.An electric drive conversion kit for the first generation Mercedes-Benz Citaro, has been available for order since March, the company states, and that at Busworld it will be announce the launching of new variants of this kit for other bus models for conversion to electric drive.

All conversions use the same latest technology as used in newest vehicles: In addition to ZF’s electric drive axle, the buses will also be equipped with the latest battery technology, which combines high energy density and low weight.
