Italy - A specialist in the manufacture of interiors for buses and trains of more than 30 years, Ellamp SpA of Bodio Lomnago, Varase, Italy has changed ownership in a management buyout involving CEO, Ing. Massimo Ottino and his partners, which includes the original founder (1987) and president, Franco Oblatore.

The company plans to continue to develop its technologies in the product areas of electronics, plastics and lighting. It will also continue with its global production footprint of five plants in Italy, Spain, Mexico, Turkey and China and to expand sales into new territories. A new subsidiary has been set up in the United States of America and another new subsidiary is scheduled to open in the UK before the end of 2019.  It says its new focus is not only on territorial expansion, but also on investing in sustainability and digitization. Subsequently, Ellamp says it has been investing in making modular, lightweight products, with attention to meeting the needs of the entire mobility chain. It also announced new products and patented state of the art components are to be unveiled at Busworld Europe in Brussels later this month.
