Germany - Suspension, axle, coupling and component specialist, SAF-Holland Inc of Bessenbach has moved its aftermarket business into a large warehouse in Aschaffenburg. The unit will supply its subsidiaries and customers worldwide. The new facility is claimed to be more economic to operate and is both environmentally friendly and optimised for logistics.

Covering 16,000 square metres, the new building occupies the former site of a transformer station. It holds approximately 6,000 part numbers from SAF-Holland, approximately 900 part numbers from the new SAF-Holland coupling subsidiary, V. Orlandi, as well as other components from the SAF-Holland Group. It represents a 60% increase in storage space while offering a 50% reduction in energy consumption. A new packaging line has been installed alongside a parts tracking system.
