VWCO offering Eaton’s latest 10-speed gearbox in Constellation range

Brazil - Eaton Divisão de Transmissões Ltda of Valinhos, Campinas region, State of São Paulo – a subsidiary of Eaton Corporation of Beachwood, Ohio, United States – announced the roll out and availability of its latest automated transmission - UltraShiftPlus MHD ten-speed – in Volkswagen’s Constellation truck range. The transmission is available in Constellation 17.280, 24.280 and 30.280 truck models.
Sergio Kramer, Eaton's general manager for commercial and aftermarket vehicles, said the new 10-speed transmission is a customized solution for specific applications in the Brazilian market. He added that development or adaptation of it for the VW Constellation was carried out in partnership between Eaton's local research and development centre and the engineering team at Volkswagen Trucks and Buses.
