Eaton has now made its range of switches, circuit protection, and power distribution products for commercial vehicles available to aftermarket customers. This move highlights Eaton’s dedication to meeting this increasing demand in the aftermarket sector.

Eaton has introduced an aftermarket clutch and flywheel kit specifically designed for the Endurant automated manual transmission (AMT). This kit combines Eaton's Advantage automated series clutch with a Cummins flywheel, marking the first time these components are offered together in a single package.

Designed for both passenger and LCVs, the BCS enables 800-volt vehicles to charge using 400-volt chargers, thereby expanding the network of accessible charging stations for EV owners.

James Taylor has taken over as General Manager (GM), Christy Roadknight is now the Deputy GM, and Genoveva Alba has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

The integrated electric drive system on a Class 7 demonstration vehicle has been tested successfully at Eaton’s proving grounds in Marshall, Michigan.

The company introduced several products aimed at advancing hydrogen-powered CV technologies. This emphasised Eaton’s commitment to supporting the hydrogen-powered CV industry.

The upgraded fuel tank isolation valve (FTIV) is 27% lighter, 39% smaller and contains 24% fewer components than the previous generation. Eaton has said that it has agreements in place to supply this product to two global automotive customers.

The company has stated that the product has been designed to withstand “harsh environments”. These converters are air-cooled and able to operate in temperatures of up to 85 degrees Celsius.

The companies announced that they had successfully tested their integrated electric drive system on a Class 7 demonstration vehicle at Eaton’s proving grounds in Marshall, Michigan.

Capable of handling up to 1400 amps and 900 volts, the Eaton Bussmann series of high-powered  fuses are customisable, meaning they can be tailored to particular specifications. Paralleling multiple fuses can increase current capability.

The facility will increase the supply of its high-powered fuses for EVs and other applications. The 10 million USD investment in this facility is part of a 750 million USD investment strategy into the company’s North American manufacturing base.
