Spain / Belgium - Temperature control systems supplier, Hispacold of Seville, used Busworld Europe to launch a new heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system called Breeze for both electrically powered and conventionally fuelled public transportation vehicles (city buses, intercity buses and coaches); and for all climatic and environmental zones. It is offered in three power ratings of 100, 200 and 300 with the middle one, Breeze 200, being the most common one used with cooling capacities of 38kW, 41kW and 44kw.

Company representatives at Busworld Europe in Brussels last month explained the Breeze range has a more modular design, making its installation to any vehicle roof radius possible, and making installation faster as well as shortening the period needed for Hispacold to deliver units to its customers. The design and mechanical fixing of the system on the vehicle roof top not only reduces installation time and costs, says Hispacold, it also allows a better fit that, Hispacold claims, guarantees water tightness. The Breeze range is also significantly lighter, the Breeze 200 weighs 128-135kgs; which, Hispacold states, is lighter by some 70kg or by more than 35% compared with its previous generation of HVAC roof top systems.
