Navistar expands Huntsville engine plant with USD125m

USA – USD125m has been allocated by Navistar Inc of Lisle, Illinois, USA to expand its International branded diesel engine manufacturing facilities in Huntsville , Alabama; the investment is to be spread over next three years and is expected to generate 145 additional local jobs.

The principal engine currently built at Navistar's Huntsville plant is the International A26, a 12.4 litre engine that is offered in Class 8 on-highway trucks such as the International LT Series and RH Series, as well as in vocational trucks such as the International HV Series and HX Series. However, no timeline has been offered for start of production.
