Temsa to offer complete electric bus and coach range within five years

Turkey / Belgium - Istanbul-based Temsa SA confirmed at Busworld Europe last month, it would be offering electric vehicles in each model segment across its entire range by 2025. To date, Temsa has introduced electric buses including the Avenue EV Electron and MD9 electriCity. At Coach & Bus 2019 in Birmingham earlier last month, where it launched of the latest models of the MD9 and HD12 coaches in RHD, Serkan Uzunay, chief marketing officer at Temsa SA said product electrification had started with the MD9 LE Electric (intra-urban low entry), and that six units were now in operation. This was followed by the Avenue Electron (city bus); an upgraded version was shown at the IAA in 2018. The Avenue Electron now features a revised driver's cockpit area while other models at Busworld featured only minor modifications.

The company is currently developing the TS 45E electric coach for the North American market which is scheduled for launch during the first quarter of 2020.
