Şahin Tanker told T&BB that work is underway to build a new production facility in Konya, Turkey.

Opened in September 2013, this facility has been servicing local demand and has been supplying 31 different countries in Europe, the Middle and Far East, Africa and South America for over a decade. Krone says that 63 per cent of the trailers produced at this factory are for export.

Trailer builder, Kässbohrer, which sells its trailers predominantly in mainland Europe says its sales grew strongly in 2021 with sales in some segments and markets more than doubling.

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company of Akron, Ohio, has announced that it will adopt 100% renewable energy at most of its plants across Europe and Turkey. This is the first stage of the company’s multi-phase plan to use exclusively renewable energy across all its facilities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa by the end of 2022.
