Kia bids for USD15m South Korean military light truck order

South Korea - Kia Motors Corporation took part in a USD15m government tender in September to develop and supply next-generation 2.5-ton and 5-ton armoured military vehicles, with deliveries scheduled over the next five years to 2024.

If it wins the order, Kia plans to partner with Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) – HMC owns 33.38% - to develop vehicles based on the new Hyundai Pavise light / medium truck.
