Russia - Schmitz Cargobull continues to lead Russian trailer market

Russia – The Russian trailer market after six years of growth declined in 2019. In 2019 the Russian market of new trailers and semi-trailers declined modestly by 2.6% in 2019 to 32,340 units compared with 33,200 units in 2018, according to figures released by Russian Automotive Market Research.

In 2019, the market leader Schmitz Cargobull AG, sold 4,440 trailers, which was an 8.3% rise on 2018. TONAR generated sales of 2,850 trailers, which took second spot due to a substantial increase of 22.3% on sales of 2,330 in 2018. NEFAZ’s trailer sales remained at the same level of 2018.
