SAFRA ramps up H2 electric bus production on back of strong order book

France – Albi-based SAFRA, a long established renovator of buses, trams, metro and funicular vehicles and more recently, a specialist bus builder of high quality innovative hydrogen electric, battery electric and hybrid 9-12m city buses, has announced it is increasing production on the back of an increasing order book.

Last month it announced it had secured a public tender to supply five hydrogen fuel-cell ‘Businova’ buses to the city of Auxerre for delivery by the end of 2020 and bringing the total number of Businova model buses for delivery in 2020 to 22; 16 hydrogen fuel cell buses, three electric buses and three hybrid electric models - see below a list of cities in France, which have ordered SAFRA vehicles.
