Irizar e-Mobility adds Italy to growing number of countries it is supplying electric buses

Spain / Italy - Irizar e-mobility sl of Aduna, Spain (a subsidiary of the Irizar Group of Ormaiztegi, Spain) has won its first electric bus contract in Italy, taking the number of countries to operate Irizar electric buses to eight. It is to supply a total of 14, Irizar 10.8m ie bus buses to AMT Genoa, which are expected to become fully operational in Genoa from August. Irizar e-Mobility is also supplying the charging stations and necessary infrastructure.

Each bus has an on-board energy capacity of 350kWh offering a range of up to 220km. The design layout has three doors, 20 passenger seats, a wheelchair/pushchair area giving an overall capacity for 81 people. Batteries and electronics are all developed by the Irizar Group and conform to the latest European regulations R100.v2, R10.v5 and UN38.3 on electrical, thermal and mechanical safety.
