Sweden - Scania’s kneeling L-series truck designed for urban applications is now available with the 6.7-litre, six cylinder Scania DC07 engine as an option to the original nine-litre, five cylinder DC09. Available in three different power outputs of 220, 250 and 280hp, installing the DC07 engine can increase the load-carrying capacity by up to 360 kilos, states Scania.

Launched with a 9-litre engine in 2017, the L-series proved popular in the urban arena. Its low entry capability and cross-cab access is suited it for crew applications. The smaller 7-litre engine allows the transmission tunnel to be lowered a further 145mm as well as a lower seating height for centre seat passengers.
