Strong performance for DAF Europe and in the UK

The Netherlands / UK - 2019 was a good year for DAF Trucks, achieving a market share of 16.2% in the heavy segment (16t+) in Europe - the second largest in the history of the company and placing DAF in the top three large truck manufacturers in Europe.

DAF Trucks state the European truck market for the 16+ tonne segment in 2019 totalled 320,000 units, a similar number as sold in 2018. Harry Wolters, president of DAF Trucks NV of Eindhoven, said: “The European economy was strong last year, which led to a high demand for transport, including new trucks.”
