Canada – The Canadian Government's Minister of Environment and Climate Change, the Hon Jonathan Wilkinson, and Manitoba's Minister of Conservation and Climate, the Hon Sarah Guillemard, have launched an application process for Manitoba's Efficient Trucking Programme.

This programme is now accepting proposals to support retrofitting of fuel saving devices within the transportation sector. Eligible applicants can receive a rebate of up to 50% on fuel-saving devices and technologies - like idling reduction technologies, fitment of low rolling resistant tyres, and trailer skirts. The programme is to be delivered by advanced learning college, Red River College of Steinbach, Manitoba, and is aimed at reducing energy consumption and emissions in Manitoba. Interested applicants with innovative technologies have until March 31, 2020, to apply.
