Nova Bus wins major transit bus order with New York’s MTA

Nova Bus has announced it has won a contract to supply 165, 40ft hybrid buses (with BAE Systems’ hybrid propulsion system) with options for a further 126 hybrid buses and 209 diesel buses from New York’s MTA. The first pilots were scheduled to be delivered in May 2020 and the rest of the deliveries are due to begin in December 2020 with completion in 2021. The vehicles are to be built at its US facility in Plattsburgh, New York State.
