Otokar’s revenues increase by 45% with exports contributing 80%

Turkey - Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi A.Ş. (Otokar) of Kocaeli, a producer of commercial and defence vehicles in Sakarya (a Koç Group company) at Busworld Turkey last month announced a strong year for commercial vehicle sales and particularly its bus division.

H. Basri Akgül, assistant general manager, Otokar, speaking at Busworld Turkey said Otokar’s 2019 revenues reached TRY2.4bn (USD425m), an increase of 45% on revenues in 2018. Akgül pointed out its export volume had increased by 78%, contributing USD340m or 80% of total revenues.
