Russian bus sales up 30% with domestic and Chinese OEMs gaining shares

Russia – In Q1/20, the Russian bus market (GVW>5t) registered 3,448 new buses, which was 29.9% more than 2,655 vehicles in the same period of 2019, according to LLC Avtostat Info. Domestic models constituted 89.2% of that number or 3,076 units.

The Pavlovo Bus Plant (PAZ) remained the traditional leader: Its sales totalled 1,670 units (3.2% down). The favourite of the past two decades, PAZ-3205 small bus, accounted for more than half with 904 units sold, down 4.6% on Q1/19.
