Spartan Motors sells ER division to REV Group as part of business transition plan

USA - Specialty vehicle manufacturer, Spartan Motors Inc of Charlotte, Michigan has concluded the sale of its Spartan Emergency Response (ER) business to commercial vehicle bodybuilder giant, REV Group Inc (REVG) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin for USD55m.

The ER business unit had revenue of approximately USD253.3m for the 12 months ended September 30, 2019. Spartan said, proceeds from the sale, which took effect on February 1, 2020, would be used to pay down debt and support working capital requirements.
