Strong fiscal results help Spartan to remain positive

USA — Specialty vehicle, RV and CV manufacturer, Spartan Motors Inc of Charlotte, Michigan, USA, has reported positive results for the first quarter 2020 ending March 31, effectively, a continuation of full year results for 2019, as it transforms its business to focus on key market trends of e-commerce, electrification, and autonomous technologies.

For the first quarter of 2020, compared with the first quarter of 2019, sales increased by USD4.7m, or 2.8%, to USD176.9m from USD172.2m. (Excluding a one-time USPS truck body order in the previous year worth USD32.m, sales, in fact, showed gains of USD37.4m, or 26.8%).
