The Netherlands - An EU-funded project to build and trial a hydrogen-powered truck, has started operations in the Netherlands.
April 1, 2020, saw a 27-tonne gvw hydrogen fuel cell rigid truck built by VDL - based on a DAF Trucks’ glider chassis – undergo demonstration with operator, Breytner as part of the EU-funded H2-Share* project in Schelluinen, the Netherlands. Gas storage and transport systems specialist, Wystrach GmbH of Weeze built a low-energy mobile hydrogen refueller to accompany the truck on location at its demonstration sites. It is the first time in the Benelux region a truck is to be demonstrated in a setting like this, certainly in combination with a mobile refuelling station.
