Ford & VW collaborate on midsize pickup and 1-ton van diesel and electric segments

USA/Germany - Ford Motor Company of Dearborn, Michigan, USA and Volkswagen AG of Wolfsburg, Germany have signed further agreements to accelerate and expand their previously announced global car and light commercial vehicle alliance, first announced almost a year ago in July 2019.
The new agreements lay out a pathway for development and launch of new joint Ford and VW branded midsize pickup and light commercial vehicle (1 ton van) projects with both conventional and full electric powertrains. The new joint project agreements also cover sharing autonomous driving technologies.
