Hankook extends tyre contract with Schmitz to 2022

Germany / South Korea - Hankook Tire Europe of Neu-Isenburg, Germany has extended its contract with Europe’s largest trailer builder, Schmitz Cargobull AG of Horstmar. The cooperation, which began in 2013, will see Hankook continue to supply trailer tyres to the various plants of  Schmitz Cargobull  until at least 2022.

The agreement, which will continue to focus mainly on the European market, currently comprises nine trailer dimensions in the 19.5 and 22.5 inch range. This includes the Mega-Trailer Dimension 455/40 R 22.5 of the efficient Hankook e-cube Max series. The companies announced the exceptionally high mileage e-cube Blue lines for international long-haul traffic would also come into operation, as well as construction site patterns from the Hankook SmartWork series. The  regional transport SmartFlex line and the SmartControl truck winter tyre portfolio are also used by Schmitz Cargobull.
