Hankook partners with Amazon Web Services to progress digital technologies

South Korea / USA - Hankook Tire of Gyeonggi-do, Seoul, Republic of Korea has announced it is partnering with Amazon Web Services (AWS), a division of Amazon Inc of Seattle, Washington to incorporate more digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data within its operations.

Hankook Tire recently developed a Virtual Compound Design (VCD) system, which predicts the characteristics of tyre compounds and finds an optimal combination through artificial intelligence analysis. Hankook states the AWS Cloud platform will enable it to store, process, and analyse huge amounts of data such as that gathered from the VCD system.
