Mercedes-Benz do Brasil to supply CKD bus chassis to THACO for assembly in Vietnam

Brazil / Vietnam / Germany - Daimler Buses of Stuttgart, Germany plans to expand its bus business in Southeast Asia and is to start marketing Mercedes-Benz chassis made in Brazil in Vietnam.

On June 1, 2020, this year an agreement was initiated between Daimler Buses and vehicle maker and distributor, Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO) of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – see separate article in Truck & Bus Builder, July 2020. The agreement includes assembly of Mercedes-Benz CKD chassis produced and supplied by Mercedes-Benz do Brasil Ltda at its São Bernardo do Campo plant, São Paulo state, Brazil.
