Mercedes-Benz eCitaro G available later this year

GermanyDaimler Buses of Stuttgart has announced its all-electric Mercedes-Benz eCitaro G articulated bus with a capacity of up to 146 passengers will come into operation with customers later this year and says it has orders already for more than 60 units from six towns and cities.

The eCitaro G is being launched with the NMC variant of lithium-ion batteries that are already proven in the eCitaro solo bus. However, with the launch of the eCitaro G model Mercedes-Benz will switch to a new generation of NMC batteries that will increase capacity considerably from 292kWh to up to 396kWh.
