Germany - Schmitz Cargobull AG of Horstmar has expanded its rigid truck tipper body range with the introduction of the M.KI body with thermal insulation. Using technology developed from its tipping insulated body semi-trailer range*, the new thermally insulated rigid tipper body option has a capacity of 18 cubic metres.

Schmitz Cargobull says regulations require the body for transporting tarmac must be thermally insulated and must also have a heat-resistant cover to prevent heat loss out the top.** Before tipping, it must be possible to check the quality of the tarmac with a valid temperature measurement. The temperature-resistant body cover has an electric sliding tarpaulin that is operated from ground level.
