Voith Group buys industrial electric motors business, ELIN Motoren

Germany - The Voith Group of Heidenheim, Germany has added to its electronic components’ portfolio with the acquisition of ELIN Motoren GmbH of Weiz, Austria from former parent company, Trasys. ELIN Motoren is described as a high-tech company in the field of electric motors and generators that is active worldwide and supplies individualized solutions for industrial applications.
ELIN Motoren, which has a turnover of about EUR120m and employs 1,000 people, will remain independent as a business and brand.
