ACEA says new truck sales (> 3.5t gvw) in June declined for 12th month in a row

Belgium - In June 2020, demand for new trucks (>3.5t gvw) across the European Union declined for the twelfth consecutive month, according to statistics collated by ACEA in Brussels.

Registrations in June 2020 more than halved (‐54.3%) to 20,064 units, down from 43,876 units in June 2019. Germany, the largest market recorded a higher percentage decline of ‐56.4%, falling to 5,527 units from 12,663 units in June 2019. France, the second largest European market fell by 33.8% to 4,799 units from 7,246 for its June comparison, while the other three largest markets also faced large falls in demand, they are the UK (-75%), Spain (‐54.7%) and Italy (‐48.3%).
