Bus & coach market registrations in the EU fall by 41.5% in June 2020

Belgium - Bus and coach (above 3.5t gvw) registrations fell by 41.5% in the EU, from 4,134 to 2,420 units, which was a slight improvement compared with May’s decline (‐56.5%), according to statistics collated by ACEA. Only three of the 27 EU markets posted positive results in June 2020: Cyprus, Luxembourg, and Slovakia. The other 24 markets, including the four major ones, all suffered double digit percentage declines in June. Germany fall by 28.5% to 455 units from 636 and France saw registrations fall by just 10% to 455 from 636.

For the greater area of central and western Europe (EU+EFTA+UK) the market fell overall by 45% to 3020 units compared with 5,500 units in June last year. The UK suffered badly with just 175 units being registered compared with 760 (-71%).
