Bustech to use Proterra's battery technology

Australia / USA - Bustech Pty Ltd* of Burleigh Heads, Queensland, Australia has entered a collaboration agreement with Proterra Inc of Burlingame, California to utilise Proterra’s battery technology platform in its new all-electric ZDi 12.5m bus.

The partnership marks Proterra’s entry into the Australian market and the first Proterra-Powered battery electric vehicle operating outside North America. The first examples are expected to enter service in early 2021. Bustech said it has already a strong order book for the ZDi.
