BYD wins largest single ebus in Spain with EMT Madrid

China / Spain – Chinese electric bus manufacturer, BYD Company of Shenzhen, is to supply a further 30 ebuses to EMT Madrid. The order forms a major part of a tender for 50 new ebuses and makes it a record in terms of size for a single ebus order in Spain. According to BYD – which previously supplied 15 of its buses to EMT in May - it was selected due to the vehicle's extensive single-charge range, energy cost, maintenance costs and warranty. The new BYD buses are scheduled for delivery in 2021.
