USA - Workhorse Group Inc of Cincinnati, Ohio, currently focused on providing sustainable and cost-effective electric drone-integrated vehicles to the last-mile delivery sector, has engaged both Hitachi America Ltd of Tarrytown, New York State and Hitachi Capital America Corporation of Norwalk, Connecticut, under strategic agreements to aid advancement in its company processes.

Workhorse says Hitachi America will provide an operational assessment of its manufacturing, operational and supply chain capabilities, benchmark to best-in-class standards and provide recommendations to Workhorse to support its increased production requirements and ambitions. Hitachi is to employ its Smart Manufacturing, data-driven digital solutions, and Electric Vehicle (EV) technologies, powered by Hitachi's rapid-solution-delivery platform, Lumada. Hitachi Capital America will assist in developing a national dealer network and support Workhorse's sales with vehicle financing options for both dealers and customers, including dealer floor-plan programmes.
