Daimler readies itself for production of a full range of battery electric commercial vehicles globally from 2022

Germany / Japan / USADaimler Trucks AG & Buses of Stuttgart, is claiming positive feedback from customers worldwide who collectively have passed over seven million kilometres of operation using emission-free battery-powered trucks and buses.

According to Daimler, positive findings from intensive practical tests using electric trucks from Mercedes-Benz, Fuso and Freightliner indicate the electrification of road freight transport is already feasible. The Mercedes-Benz eCitaro, which entered series production in 2018, has also been well received for passenger transport operations in various European cities.
