USA - Mack Defense, part of Volvo Group-owned Mack Trucks, has relocated its headquarters from rented accommodation in Allentown, Pennsylvania to the Mack Customer Centre (MCC) in the same city. The move provides Mack Defense additional working space and access to other MCC amenities including a test track and industrial space alongside the necessary security required when working on military contracts.

Mack Defense’s move was timed specifically to utilise enhanced capabilities available at the MCC to support the current active contract with the U.S. Army to provide heavy tipper (dump) trucks. Mack Defense was awarded a firm-fixed-price USD296m contract in May 2018 from the U.S. Army to produce up to 683 M917A3 Heavy Dump Trucks.
