Mahle and Ballard to cooperate in the commercialisation of fuel cell systems for CV applications

Germany / Canada – Mahle GmbH of Stuttgart and Canadian fuel cell manufacturer, Ballard Power Systems Inc of Vancouver have agreed to work together to develop fuel cell systems for commercial vehicles of various weight classes.
The partnership aims to manufacture complete fuel cell systems for the European, North American, and Asian markets. During the first phase of cooperation, Ballard is to focus primarily on system design relating to the fuel cell stack, while Mahle is providing its expertise in thermal management, power electronics, and packaging.
