Major investments by Krone expands capacities, improves quality and adds services

Germany - Europe’s second largest trailer builder, Krone Commercial Vehicle SE of Werlte, Germany at a Covid-19-secure press conference last month announced some significant investments made in the past 18 months as well as a number to come in the next financial year.

Dr Frank Albers, head of sales at Krone Commercial Vehicles said in the previous fiscal year (August 2019 to July 2020) it had delivered several major investments, one being in ‘Trailerpoint’, the name given to its state-of-the-art driver collection centre; an ultra-modern facility for drivers to spend time whilst collecting a vehicle at the  Werlte factory. Open 24/7, the facility offers a restaurant, washroom with shower and an office area for digital document handover before vehicle handover.
