Russia - Bus market rises 1.2% in first six months of 2020

Russia – According to statistics collated by LLC Avtostat Info, Russia registered 6,263 new buses (>5t gvw) in the first half of 2020, which was 1.2% up on 6,187 units in 1H/2019. This contrasted with the first five-month period which year-on-year fell by 9%.

Domestic vehicle manufacturers constituted 90.5% of the market or 5,670 units (+3.1%), while foreign brand sales contracted by 13.4% to 593 units. PAZ remained the leader of the segment with 2,780 registrations, but 22.1% down on the previous year, with the PAZ-3205 small bus accounting for  1,478 units (-16.6%) and more than half of the output at the plant in Pavlovo-on-Oka.
