VDL supplies 31 Citea Electric buses to Finland

The Netherlands / Finland – VDL Bus & Coach NV of Valkenswaard, The Netherlands (a VDL Groep subsidiary) has supplied Finnish operator, Koiviston Auto Group with 31 Citea Electric LLE-115 buses which will be deployed in Lahti and Kuopio. Kuopion Liikenne Oy has 13 Citea LLE Electric to provide public transport in Kuopio. In Lahti, 18 Citea LLE Electric are entering service with Koiviston Auto Oy. The 31 buses see the total number of Citea LLEs delivered by VDL Bus & Coach to Koiviston Auto Group exceed 200.
The Citeas in Lahti and Kuopio are equipped with a 35+4 seating arrangement, with space for one wheelchair or two prams. The buses are equipped with a High Energy 282kWh battery pack, for charging with CCS2 socket in Kuopio and a roof mounted pantograph in Lahti. The low temperatures in winter, which can drop below 30 degrees Celsius or even colder, place high demands on the vehicles.
